I have a new website

I’m embarrassed to say it has been years since I’ve had my own site. I took the old one down because it was outdated so I redirected my domain to point to my Youtube channel.

I have finally put together the site you’re on now and I’m actually happy about it. I was going through  different color palettes, but decided to use what I really like. Black and red. I’ve loved that color combo since I was a kid and still do. I own four guitars and they are all black. All my sweaters are black, my shoes, my amp. All black. I think I have one red shirt, though it may be a maroon.

The site itself is built on top of WordPress using the Bones ‘starter theme’. Mostly everything is custom built after that. Custom post types, meta boxes, shortcodes and mobile menus. What’s cool, for me, is that I’m going to try my hand at blogging. What am I going to write about? I have a little idea, but nothing concrete. It may be about guitars, cooking, pickling…my dog. I had been a long time Joomla guy, so it’s cool to get into WordPress this way. We’ve been using it every day at work now for over a year, but it had been a while since doing a theme…let a lone one for myself.
